first; look at the course that you want to study. then make a list of universities that offer the particular course. then compare your level or your ability to their requirements. then shortlist the colleges that are of your level. then rank those universities according to the convenience they offer. make a list of things that you want at the university. filter the universities accordingly. then narrow the list further on your budget. make sure u have a clear idea about your living and transportation (specially if the college is in a different city). check the employment rate of the graduates from the university department you are applying to. And be clear about your own employment option.
Things to think about: Transportation Budget/Scholarships Tuition What they college/university offers (i.e classes, dorms, etc) Living
How far are you will to travel? Do you want to stay in your city/town or travel elsewhere (it'll cost more)?
Where are you going to live? Are you staying at home, a dorm, a friend's or relative's place?
Do you have an offers from universities/colleges? Are your grades up to par for the college?
Scheduling and timing.
Do they offer extra things that interest you?
Those are just a few questions to ask yourself, before making the decision.
Take everything into consideration,that is transport costs, courses offered by the college, accreditation and affiliates of the college, tuition and even costs of food at the particular college. Sometimes attending college in traditional classrooms may be more expensive than doing it online. You may want to consider e-learning.
