Can I file down my tooth myself?

So I have one baby tooth that doesn’t seem to want to come out. It has cracked, but that’s about it. Yesterday night, I ate some jelly beans and 1/4 of my tooth came out. The tooth itself doesn’t hurt the gum, however, its sharp and when I move my tongue around, it gets caught on the sharp edge and gets cut. I’m not going to waste money just getting it sanded down by a dentist so it can come out a few weeks later. Can I file it myself considering it is only a baby tooth?

umm i wouldent think so id think they would have to use a special tool for that and since its a baby tooth it should come out soon

If your teeth are falling out, you need a lot more work done than just filing it down. Do not file your own tooth down, they have special tools for that. When’s the last time you went to the dentist? You probably have cavaties that need to be taken care of.

Answer #3

Not too long ago. I don’t have cavities. I went there and He said the reason its breaking is because the tooth was supposed to come out years ago and its just worn to the point where it has no strength. Makes no sense to me though.
