lastnight crisis was called on me for not taking my meds. i eventally took my meds before the cops came to my house. they came afterward and told me i had to put my shoes on and leave. i told them i didnt want to go with them i would go with my mom. they said i had to go with them i said im sorry nothing against you guys but i dont like cops. then the rude cop said we can do this the esay way or the hard way. i just stared at him. hey then grabbed my wrist i instantly pulled away cuz of my past history of sexual abuse by my stepfather (male) so i dont like males touching me anywhere without my permission or knowledge. when i pulled awy hey grabbed me harder and tried to handcuffed me. i was struggling and telling the cops i didnt want to mess wuth them i didnt want to hurt them and i said i would go with them. the rude one was not listening and had my arm behind my back with excessive force. i never tried to hit any if them. the rude one left a bruise on my left arm. he was the ony one to touch left arm. my other arm was fine. the rude one pushed my arm so far back that if he went any further he would of either broke my arm or dislocated it. my arm had not been bruised. when he got me out of the house i stoped walking and tried to talk with the cops. the rude pne said "keep fucking moving". i got mad and told him i would get him fired. when we got to the hospital and when they took the handcuffs off my wrists were red and had cuts on them. i must strees though i never threatened or ever hit the cops. i have never been in trouble with the law. so all i am asking is how to file a complaint and dont tell me i shouldnt cuz he was in the right cuz he was not. thank you.
EXACTLY- you don't get anywhere resisting the police, once you have been marked as having mental issues or get combative on their arrival- they can use REASONABLE FORCE to take you into custody- nothing i read shows UNREASONABLE force so you basically have no case. they have a job to do - to protect you and the other citizens- they often meet with unruly and combative people and need to do whatever is justified to take a person into custody. what caused this is YOU NOT TAKING YOUR MEDS which caused the police to be dispatched- they didn't just target you at random and decide to pick on you. own up and be a man and accept that you brought this on yourself and the next time the police are dispatched to your residence- be nice and polite AND COOPERATIVE and go with the cops QUIETLY without any of the DRAMA and i think you will find you will be treated much better.
resisting the police will not help your case much, but if you want to file a complaint, you need to call the police communications phone number, NOT 911 or the emergency number. Look up your police service in a phone book and the NON-Emergency number should be listed. Call that, tell them you want to make a complaint, and follow their directions. Additionally, check if your police service has a website. Often, you can report a complaint online. Goodluck
Lesson to be learned: there are a few people/professions that when they say to do something you smile and say "yes sir" or "yes ma'am" and then do it. They include hospital nurses, judges, people robbing you at gun point, and cops. All of these people have the power to make your life miserable and they NEVER tolerate any sh*t no matter how good your reason is. Do whatever they say without argument and you will live a lot happier life.
this is still your word against theirs... there are numerous possibilities of how you can receive cuts and bruises, and no offence, especially when you're off your meds
take a picture of the cuts and bruises on your are as evidence. then go to the police station and talk to them (not the one who hurt you) and tell them what happened.
