Fever after tubal ligation?

I have a fever of 99.3. I know that’s kinda of mild but I’ve been having some chills. my abdomen and belly are extremely itchy and a bit swelled. But there’s not much redness. I was told if I get a fever to go to the hospital. Is it normal to get a mild one and I’m overly paranoid or should I go to the hospital? This is the first time I’ve ever got major surgery before. I’ve been taking pain killers and following the orders from my doctor

That’s very normal, of it gets past 102 I would consider calling your doc, the itching is normal as well as the swelling, have you been putting an ice pack on you belly? That could help a little with the swelling

I’ve been using warm towels, my doctor told me to use that. Ty for replying<3 been worried. my fever went down a bit.

That’s good to use to, you could take Tylenol for the fever and your most welcome, happy to have helped :-)

Ty ^_^ I was put on a fentyal (sp?) pain patch, I was having severe pain after the surgery. it’s getting better now. it itches so bad everywhere. been kinds sore this morning

It will be like that for a few more days, the more you scratch the more it will itch and longer it will be sore so try not to scratch it

Yeah I’ve been trying to refrain from scratching on it. The fentyal patch I have, I heard causes extra itching too lol
