Don't quite agree with some of the beliefs, ideologies or the actions of radical feminists (but let's not get into that), but in general, I most definitely are for feminism. I cannot stand, however, the annoyingly touchy feminists that feel that any reference to gender is anti-feminist such as father-son days vs mother-daughter days (something I read) or the use of fireman as opposed to firefighter.
Because when used in a sentence they follow the word "my" which she argues sounds possessive and implies possession of that person. IMO, in this day and age people don't generally think of one person belonging to another, and all of those words have a male counterpart: Husband, boyfriend, father, etc

I agree with KaHeeLee, but I also think feminism is about more than "just" supporting women's rights (no small thing in itself). It is also about freeing both women and men from the constraints of restrictive gender roles.
Everything in moderation. I consider myself a feminist in that I don't see why I should be treated lower than men. However these extremist who want to castrate all men kinda annoy me.
Jeez, seriously what is wrong with those words? :O 've heard of people being against policeMAN, fireMAN, or whatever, but what is wrong with wife, girlfriend or mother!?
Feminism is supporting women's rights... You don't have to be a crazy fanatic and hate men. I don't understand how people can be against women.
I agree. My sociology prof is what you'd call a "radical feminist" and is against words such as: wife, girlfriend, mother etc...
Totally for feminism. Not for uptight chicks that can't take a silly joke and think because I boarded the bus first I'm sexist.
