I got arrested three days before they filed for divroce. They fought about who's fault it was up until the day dad, my two little sisters and I moved out. My older brother says it was my fault, Is it true?
Right now, your brother is hurting, as I'm sure all of you are. When people hurt, they tend to look for the quickest answer as to why. Most of the time they use the first thing that comes to mind that may have caused tension or anger. In this case, your brother looked at you being arrested as that thing. Him feeling that way, however, doesn't mean it's the reason for their issues. It's just what HE is feeling right now. Their divorce is definitely not your fault.
Coming from a divorced home, I can say its never the kids fault the parents don't get along. It would take more than you being arrested for them to split. If your brother said that, then punch him in the face and say, "that's your fault." (don't seriously). Parents split up because they can't get along. Not because their kid misbehaves. However in the future, try not to get arrested.

No, you have no control over what other people decide to do and I can assure you that they did not decide to break up because of something you did. Listen to some good music. Wonderful by Everclear could possibly make you feel a little better, it's about what youre going through.
the question should be ' would you have got arrested if your parents wernt so dysfunctional'? Its not your fault dude, your parents are at fault for making you feel that way.
But do you think they would have broken up if I hadn't gotten arrested? If i hadn't, maybe they would have worked things out? Was it inevitable?
