Educational toys for toddlers

What’s are some of the good educational toys that I can get for my 16 month old daughter? I’m very interested in her learning to read as quickly as possible.

My kids have the leap pad, I think there is a little touch leap pad for younger kids which might be stimulating for your daughter (they even have one in pink). At that age both my boys were really into blocks (they loved building towers and knocking them down).

i would think a kid of that age would just want to be with her parents- get some mr men books( i loved those as a kid) and some other pic books with nice pictures and simple stories. then sit down, and READ ALOUD wiv her. my mum did it wiv me, and i learnt how to read very quickly. wen she gets older, enid blyton books are excellent.

BABY EINSTEIN!! I nanny for a two and five year old and I love baby einstein. The two year old, Kelsey, loves it too! By twelve months I was able to teach her how to count to ten in french and spanish. Leap pads are good as well. You just have to turn everything into a game. Like, put words on flash cards, hold them up and is she gets the word right, she gets a gummy bear.
