Does anyone like 'Top Chef'?

Top Chef & Dancing with the stars are the only two series we’re watching regularly right now…and, so far (to me at least) I think Richard has the most potential.

Jen, agreed, I think that was a surprise, but I also think she was having a hard time (it was her girlfriend that left right?)

Yeah, Zoi left a couple of weeks ago, I believe. Jen was missing her a lot so maybe it was a good thing. Of course, the winner gets some pretty nice gifts.

So, you think it’s going to be Richard?

Richard is my favorite from this season…he got some ego a few episodes ago & botched the salmon by forgetting to descale it properly, however, he’s inventive & seems to coook consistently well.

In response to amoeba…Well, it does show all that but that IS reality. That’s the way people are, whether we like it or not or whether we see it or not. I think it’s horrible that those mothers treat their children like they do (some of them) but can you imagine how they act when they’re not on camera? Maybe they will see them selves and straighten up. I don’t think that some of them realize how bad they are. At least, maybe they can get some help. The kids are probably relieved that everyone’s seeing the way they’re treated by their Moms.

Have you guys seen that show with Danny Bonaduce? It’s about kid auditions (kids & their Moms). I saw it once or twice and liked it but can’t recall the name of it. Maybe I’ll go on google. It’s something like ‘Kids that want to be stars’.

thedude, I agree with you about Richard. I saw that episode where he didn’t get all the scales off. In fact, almost everyone got some, even Andrew and of all people, the guest judge. Yes, Richard has been doing much better.

I was surprised to see Jen go. I thought it would be Lisa or Antonia, in that order, but you just never can tell how the judges are going to vote.

Did you see the previews where Mark said he thought that Tom didn’t like him? Tom seemed to be surprised but I thought the same thing. Tom said that he needed to clean up and made some terrible personal remarks, I thought.

Well, thanks for the reply. I love that show. I tape it and watch it over and over, especially when I’m having a bad day.

I tried watching it once. one mother was yelling at her child for not learning her lines, another was laying a guilt trip on her crying daughter, another told her son that he should just give up. I hated it and think that it represents the worst of reality tv. the kids looked miserable and the moms looked like they were typical stage moms.
