How can I tell what a .dll file does?

I’ve gotten a .dll error and I’m not sure what the particular .dll does. Is there a way to find out before I try to fix it?

Answer #1

You could try checking out a registry library. They have alphabetical lists of .dll files that explain what each file does, how to fix them if you’re getting an error, and sometimes the safety level of the .dll.
