You were attentive, alert, and followed what he was saying. Your perception of him looking at you 80% may be right on, but it was probably because all people tend to look at people who are paying THEM attention. Lecturers have so many students half asleep or looking down, that their eyes naturally gravitate toward the alert ones. He recently may have realized that you were his unconscious focus, so he is consciously avoiding your direction. (If you or another student misinterpreted that 80% attention as inappropriate, his job would be in jeopardy. A teacher-student relationship could end his career.) Don’t try to read any hidden interest / disinterest into the change. You are there to learn and get a degree. Just carry on, keep paying attention to the course, and do your best. YOUR career could depend on that. Take care, and Good Luck!!

I sometimes worry about what others think of me. Everybody is different, has different problems and stuff. You’re reading into this change of behavior too much.
