Did David Hume believe in God, and why?

Did David Hume believe in God? I have to answer this for my philosophy class. I need to roleplay a philosopher in a discussion about the existence of God and I’m David Hume. So did David Hume blieve in God and what were his argument about the subject. Thank you to anyone who can help :)

I think we can be certain that Hume did not believe in a traditional “God” such as the major religions espouse. He was an empiricist, and noted that it was impossible to deduce the existence of a Deity as they are typically defined.
