How can I get off antidepressants?

I have been on antidepressent medication, Lexapro, for 2 years. and want to get off. I am afraid that I will get really depressed again (before I used to cry daily and couldn’t stop it), and don’t want that to happen. Any advice?

Answer #1

I’ve been on Lexapro for a couple of years now too with very good results. I skipped a week one time because I couldn’t afford my meds and had a bad relapse. Please talk to your doctor before you make any changes with your medication. It can cause all sorts of problems. I wish someone had told me.
