he think its ok, when I told him he defended them. I feel like r relationship problems n what we argue about is none of there business. and they ask me personal questions about my exs like why is MY past there business especially if it doesnt pertain to their son? and telling me how to spank my son n how to raise him. My son, not their.sons son mine. his dad died. anyway I dont like it he said they were just trying to help. but thats not there place. and they told me dont talk to my best friends about my relationship problems . like wtf.. who r they to tell ME who im allowed to talk to? im an adult live in my own house drive my own car. they don't even know me like that... what should I do?
Hmmm, well your partner is right kind of. It does sound like they are just trying to help. Yeah it isn't their place but you are going out with their son, that is most likely why they ask you personal questions. They want to get to know you. They shouldn't tell you who to talk and stuff no but you need to tell them not your partner, because it is them you have the problem with. Just politely tell them, look I don't want to talk about things like my ex's, their ex's for a reason. I am an adult and I care for your son and want to get to know you too, just not that personally yet.
They're probably just trying to help, but they seem to be overstepping their boundaries. Just nod an say okay, but do what you feel is best.
