What's the right day to go to Church?

What is the exact day to go to church ?Because I go on an saturday and people at my church say that day is when jesus was rising but I dont understand because you still worshiping god and it dont really matter what day you go on along as you go?

Answer #1

I believe you’re right - whatever day is your Sabbath, is your Sabbath - we are to give Him Praise daily regardless.

Answer #2

The commandment is “honor the sabbath day and keep it holy” Additionally, Christ said “man was not made for the sabbath, but the sabbath for man.”

The Jews worshipped on the seventh day, because seven was the word from which the term “covenant” was derived. It was a reminder to them of the covenant oath that God swore to their fathers and descendants. The covenant relationship was a sacred family bond in the ancient world, and very important to the Semitic culture. You will notice that the number seven reappears all over the sciptures for that reason.

The Christians celebrated Mass on the first day of the week (according to the “didache” and the letter of Pleini, which are some of the most ancient sources) because that was the day the Christ rose from the dead.

God deserves as least one day a week. Sunday would be preferrable, because that is the day prescibed by the living Tradition of the Church, but if that is not possible, God will understand. If you can, it would be ideal to go to Church everyday, but that is often impossible.

Just be sure that you’re not just trying to fit God into your schedule out of mere convenience. He deserves a prominent place in your life, but if there is a serious issue, he will understand.

Answer #3

I don’t believe that God is worried about what day we set aside to worship him, he is far more concerned with the attitude of our hearts, whether or not, we are forgiving, and loving toward others. The bible says that some observe one day, some another, some everyday. So, he gives us choice, as always.

Answer #4

yOU GO TO CHURCH FOR ONE REASON AND ONE REASON ONLY TO WORSHIP HIM AND TO REMIND YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SINS OF THE WORLD NOTHING ELSE SHOULD MATTER NOT THE DAY OR THE TIME

Answer #5

It says to go on the first day of the week, and anytime the doors are open. So anytime the elders of your church opens the doors (regular service, special services, meetings, revivals, etc).

Answer #6

I dont think it matters =)

Answer #7

anyday the church is open! Always put god first! He is your alpha and omega!

Answer #8

I agree with everyone else. Fighting over what day or days we go is pointless. Worshipping God, and setting aside a weekly special day to be with Him and His people, is what matters.

Jews worship on a Saturday, so some Christian groups continue that tradition. Many other Christian churches changed their ‘Sabbath’ to a Sunday, as that’s generally said to be the day Jesus rose. Either way, I think that having a Sabbath is what counts, not what day it is.

Answer #9

yea I totally agree. it doesnt matter what day you go. your there for one reason only. to worship and love him. I go on saturdays. but thats just me. I dont judge anyone who go on any other days
