Is there any danger when our dog lιcks us upon the face?

Our little doggy like to jump up and lιck me upon my face–ocasionally he “connects” with my lips. This is unhygenic, I know but is there any danger when this happens?

Answer #1

You can get worms.

Answer #2

If he has been wormed I don’t see any danger in him giving you kisses every now and then.

Answer #3

Yes it is. Most people do not realise, dogs do lick themselves, specially their own backsides if they can and some dogs sniff doggie poo poo so I think it is crazy to let a dog lick your face or have their noses anywhere near your face.

Answer #4

If you have just eaten, a dog may want a bite…

Answer #5

unless the dog has worms there is no real danger… Dog saliva is much cleaner than human saliva (if you compare a dog bite infection to a human bite infection, the one with the human is 80% more life threatening)

Answer #6

If the dog has been dewormed…no harm can be done! Every1 states dogs lick themselves etc…etc (like they wouldn’t lick themselves if they could lol) anyways a dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans mouth…and it also acts as a medication…say u have a small cut…let ur dog lick that and I garanteed ya it will heal faster and better kinda like a neosporin substitute!!!! :) it pays off when u have worked in a vet and kennels for tje past 12 yrs!!
