It’s an excellent example of how self-serving clergymen convince people that the pious thing to do is to give their worldly goods to the church because it will make them “richer in the afterlife”. The only people it seems to make richer are the clergy.

The Church is the body of Christ and all reap the reward, 1/4 of our budget goes to missions, foreign and local.
