Cupcake decorating idea for kids?

One of the fun things we did with our kids at a recent party was deocrate cupcakes. Does anybody have a fun cupcake decorating idea for kids?

make lik a 5 by 7 rectangle with the cupcakes and decorate that with frosting going all accross the top of them. i did that with kids that i watch and we did a flag because it was near the 4th

put out different bowls with a HUGE selection of candy. They can have a better selection. maybe do a theme with like those little tiny umbrellas???

Some pretty wicked ideas that are very origional for decorating kids cupcakes:

  1. let them paint with frosting
  2. give them letters of the alphabet (candy ones) to write their names
  3. give them stencils to fill in with candy / frosting, etc

You could make “clown faces” or other childlike drawings with candy on top of the cupcake.
