Hi, I have to do a project for history on Jamaica. Its about Jamaica during and after the English invasion. I want it to be entertaining but not over the top, any ideas?
*A giant home made pop up book to spice up the presentation *Those computer flash cards *Small animations *A skit(perhaps you can use ppl to act out while informing about your project) *Make a homemade "documentary", kind of like those youtube videos that uses pictures and clips, narration, and sometimes music. *Interpretive dance(you said creative and unusual ;P) *Write a song *Write a poem *Record a song & do interpretive dance to it! (yes, I did some crazy presentations back in my school days XD) *Make an actual low budget Documentary by contacting scholars & going to Jamaica and interviewing Jamaicans(I'm pretty sure it would be an A for sure if you were able to pull that one off, but good luck there) *Draw pictures or print out pictures to present while talking/visual aid *Act like a lunatic presenting facts , example, using a crazy and loud voice while spazing out and throwing visual aid all over the place when done using it(I actually got a good grade doing something like that one time), just make sure to clean up the mess when done Uhhh....that's bout all I can think of
There is an incredibly boring book that uses the dialect of slave workers, 'The long song' by andrea levy. Despite its dullness it might just be the ticket for your project if you can suffer through it. Take care.
Power point presentation, now I think of the name for the electrical flash card thingys. Dang my mind can overcomplicated things sometimes.
Can you incorporate Music into it. Tracing the roots of Reggae music maybe
I'm not sure but how so?
