If I adopt a chinchilla how much would it be to maintain it each month? It will come with all the main things cage dust pan ect. But I will have to buy the food and dust and bedding. About how much would it add up a month or however long it would supply for?
chinchillas are actually not to bad as far as care, I have never had a chinchilla but I did have a guinea pig and even small animals in cages get a bit spendy, I would be guessing 30-40 dollars a month if you give your new pet the best care possible (which is smarter since vet bills are outrageous). But you just have to factor in the lifespan of whatever type of chin. you get. Things happen, so be prepared to have to spend a little more per month than expected.
Oh & if you do get one, make sure you get a glass terrarium rather than a barred cage. They are a little more expensive but in the end they don't make a mess. Rodents like to burrow & The bedding just gets sprayed all out of the bra & all over your room. It's really annoying.
Actually I am getting a wire cage but I'm useing fleece not bedding. So much easier and less expencive and even safer for it
Probably less than $20.
