How do I convince my mom to let me go to the Scream Zone?

I wanted to go to the Scream Zone because the past few years i haven’t been able to for the same reasons she’s giving me this time. I understand she cares about my safety, but I will be with a group of friends at all times. We will all have our cell phones on us, and I am responsible, and I know my mom trusts me. she said I can’t go because there’s no adult supervision, it’s dark, and there are “warped people” there. those are her own words. I understand everyone of her reasoning’s, it’s just she can’t let go of the fact that I’m getting older and I can gain a little independence even though she still has most say over me because I’m still only 14. i’d just appreciate her understanding that i’m growing up. Do you guys have any suggestions to try to show her my side of the story. Also how safe is the Scream Zone at Del Mar for teens 14-16ish? (my friends and my ages) being we think responsibly with our actions.

Answer #1

just try talking to her you have to remember that she is your mother and mothers usually know best but just hear her out and try to explain your side of things in a calm way without gettiing upset

Answer #2

thanks:) I will try talking to her again.

Answer #3

i was just at a haunted forest and we were told it is a law that ‘actors’ or the people dressed up cant touch you and you cant touch them tell her something like that it may help

Answer #4

okay that should help:) but i think she’s more worried about the people who are going to the haunted houses, not the actors/actresses. But wouldn’t you think there would be lots of security there and other kids my age?
