How do I convince my boyfriend that God exists?

We’ve been together for about two months…a Christian and an Atheist. Odd, I know. The thing is, this kid is smart, and has made me question my own beliefs. I DO believe in God, and I want to see him in heaven when I die…So any hardcore evidence/facts/reasoning are greatly appreciated! :)

You need to understand that not everyone believes in God and you need to accept him and his beliefs. You two should not force any beliefs upon each other and you should respect each other’s beliefs about religion.

Answer #2

Relationships between people with different worldviews happen all the time. They can work if there is mutual respect for each others beliefs. It sounds to me like you don’t respect your boyfriends worldview. As far as evidence, facts, reasoning goes, people have been trying to prove and to disprove the existence of god since the very beginning and nobody has been successful.

He will probably get annoyed and think you’re trying to shove your religion down his throatm ,he probably won’t think as hostile as I do about it considering you guys are together but I just don’t think it’s something you guys should be trying to convince each other into. I’m an atheist and my boyfriend is a laveyan satanist and the only time we ever really touch the topic of religion is to talk about people that believe in it rather than our own beliefs.

Answer #4

My current girlfriend is an atheist. I believe in god, but based on solid foundations of realistic common sense and spirituality NOT based on religion at all since I frankly don’t choose to just believe something because a delusional few or some book says I should. (no disrespect intended)

However, if she tries to shove her atheist beliefs on me and crosses the line, I’d respectfully walk away from the relationship.

Our relationship is robust because we have accepted each other the way we are. We do not try to ‘change’, ‘manipulate’ or dictate to each other what we should and should not do or believe.

I don’t look down on her for holding the beliefs she holds and neither does she look down on me.

Your boyfriend will be nothing but creeped out if you keep trying to beat the bush from various angles.

I do not understand why people think so much about the future while daydreaming though the present. The future isn’t even an absolute space time.

If you have to meet in ‘heaven’, you will - thinking about it now isn’t going to make the experience of the heaven better. So why not instead, just EMBRACE REALITY THE WAY IT IS, NOT THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO BE and live joyfully to the hilt in the now? – Cause frankly, you could either waste your mental energy formulating plans on how to manipulate your boyfriend into giving up his beliefs and embracing yours or you can embrace your boyfriend with his beliefs the way he is and create a beautiful romantic synergy called a wonderful relationship.

All you can do is pray for him and show him love, you can’t make him believe in God, it’s everyone’s own choice.

Answer #6

Well, I’ve read all the previous answeres ( and the make very good points) before I say this: 1st, It’s never been proven that God doesen’t exist, and if you believe, do ot be afraid.

2nd:Show him some scripture and have a conversation about hw you feel, buy him an inspirational daily devotional and ask him to read it. 3rd: explain to him what God has done for you in your life just by simply believing. 4th:What is your relationship based on? Is it real, or something you could find the same thing with right around the corner? 5th: watch “The passion of the Christ” together. 6th:Pray and ask God to help you with this in the name Of Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of us all. 7th: Do you best, and if it fails, the relationship will never “really” work in the long run because it just isn’t possible for it to really “grow” with the means it takes to keep you together in hard times, because in those times we need the Lord and cannot do it on our own forever…………………………..May The Lord Bless You and Keep You Forever

respect his beliefs, you said hes smart and there is a reason why he is an atheist. personally I’m an atheist and I’m really good at talking about religion. believe me, he has every excuse not to be a believer. just accept it.

if my gf tried to convince me to turn to religion and was persistent about it i would start seeing someone else.

btw, doubting your own beliefs is the ultimate sin that can’t be recovered from so technically not even “being saved” or “confessing the sin” can save you. sorry lol

also, you asked for evidence, there is no evidence that god exists, its strictly backed by faith. some people my say “they found Jesus’ body” but the thing is, even if they have absolute real proof they found Jesus and have proof he cast all these miracles or if they really did find Noah’s ark that still is not any evidence that God exists, its irrelevant. because God can’t be proven. if god was proven the person would have gotten a noble piece prize and would be an absolute billionaire for it.

science is has more evidence to be backed on and theory that is always being pushed and corrected the farther we are getting into it.

Answer #8

You can’t lol every one has there own beliefs n ik that me personally I hate when people try to get me to believe something else or try to convert me. I just think you shouldent even try… You can tell him what u believe but don’t try to get him to believe in god.

Answer #9

Oh we respect each other’s views very much! We both just think the other is wrong…

Answer #10

Show him Love and some curing, proof to him that our Christ is Love. Love is the only weapon to fight this Battle. Respect His views , pray to God, do not try to fight for God, for you are not a soul winner, yours is to preach, and God will bring the Souls to Himself
