Why is the dryer on top of the washer in most condos?
is most condo’s why is the dryer on top of the washer?? wont the button directions be facing upside down?
Condos are made effienciently, to save space. Therefore, stacking the washer and dryer saves room. (: hope this helps… oh and the bottons for the washer and dryer are usually together on the washer.

The washer is on the bottom because its heavier. Full of water it weighs a lot, plus on the spin cycle it can really get rocking if you get it out of balance. You don’t want that to be top heavy and tip over. So if you put the washer on top you would have to weight the add weights to the bottom of the dryer to keep the center of gravity low. Much for cost effective to put the already heavy item with weights in the bottom already on the the bottom of the stack.
