I just completed my first semester of my freshman college year but have decided that I do not like my course and university anymore. So what are your open opinions if one would stop school and return for the next school yr to redo first yr at a different uni with different course?
Go talk to an adviser. College is expensive, find out what credits you have that are transferable to the new university you wish to go to. You might not have to completely redo your first year at all. Secondly, find out when your new college does acceptances, do they accept students or do they allow transfers during semester 2? Some colleges where I am allow transfers in the winter term, so that might be something to look into so you would not have to sit around for a whole semester doing nothing. If not, then you would have no choice but to return the next school year. I don't think it's a bad idea at all. Better you find out that your course is not for you during your first year than later on like I did. You waste less money and time. I found out after I completed my second year (barely) that I simply could not do my course, it was just something that I found too hard to comprehend, I wasted so much money the first two years and so much time. Luckily, quite a few of my credits were transferable to my new program. So find out all these details from your adviser; transferable credit, when the earliest acceptance is available for you.
I wouldn't just take a break for a year because there's a chance that you won't even go back. The credits still count even if they're not towards your major... You should just transfer to another university. Go see an academic advisor/counselor, they can lead you in the right direction.
