Ok. . .whomever believes marriage or children will occur at a particular age is going to have their world shattered to pieces later on. I’d look at professions and things that don’t require the consent of a willing male (or female) before thinking about children and the type of guy you’re going to marry. . .that’s just a thought.

Also, your elementary grades don’t matter one little bit. I sincerely don’t even think your high school grades are anywhere near as important as your SAT/ACT scores or any college classes you may have taken.

If there’s any way for you to get your parents to start some kind of fund for tuition and living expenses, I’d really suggest that above all else for prep early on. I know plenty of folks who want to do more than they can afford. I stayed “in state” and after this year is finished, I’ll be a lawyer. . .with a lot of debt. I thought it was important to have a profession I would enjoy and where I could be my own boss. I spent 4 years in my undergraduate university (Bachelors degree in psychology, pre-law designation) and then 3 years for law school. I also took time in between to get money to pay for moving around and I worked through my undergrad so it took more like 5 years.

A Bachelor’s degree will get you a steady job though, don’t think you have to go to law school just to do that. . .that was just my path.

I am majoring in journalism with a concentration in public relations and a minor in spanish. After I graduate, I either want to work for a big public relations firm or go the completely other way and do non-profit work and work in some spanish-speaking country for a bit.

Answer #6

You are NEVER too young to worry about college! I believe that elementary students should start hearing about college and talking about plans, so it becomes something they want to pursue! Most colleges only look at your transcripts from high school.

Once you get into high school start talking to a counsler about college! They will help you find a good college, figure out ways to pay for it, and possibly give you information on taking a tour of the campus!
