Why would just half a string Christmas lights work?
Haha okay well we just got done pulling out all of our Christmas decorations. My mom was upset when like 5 strings of lights only half-way worked!! Why would just half a string of lights work? Is it the fuse? A loose bulb? Should we just trash them?
Every year I have struggled with the giant octopus of lights and every year I have had the same issues. The time it takes is horrible. This year I personally am tossing the old and buying new ones.
Usually christmas decorations have two or one sets of wires that goes through the decoration. So if one light bulb is out, then none or half of the lights don’t work. It means, there is either unconnecter/badly connected wire somewhere or one bulb(or more) is out. Sometimes touching and twisting the wire fixes it. Sometimes you have to take spare lightbulb and try it in ALL the lightnests. One at a time.
It is easier just to buy new ones…
