Chewing Newspaper

I am trying to crate train my puppy, however she is still very young only 11 weeks so she will actually soil in her crate as she cannot hold her bladder for long yet, although it is getting better. So she has newspaper down in the house and soils on that perfectly well and asks to go out side when there is no paper avaliable, however she thinks it is so much fun to shred a piece of newspaper and chew it and swollow it (luckily she never shreds a soiled piece). Any tips?

The newspaper won’t necessarily hurt the puppy, so it’s not the end of the world. If possible, you might try using a different material for the litter, so that the puppy doesn’t have any newspaper to play with. Good luck.
