Answer #1

In my opinion, Public :) but thats what ive grown up with, and been used to, and all that ive known. Also, i don’t like wearing uniforms. (; but thats just me. <3

Answer #2

I’m biased here, private schools would be better if you are heading into high schools. The classes are small; the teachers are more involved with the students’ academic performance. Yes, the cost for your parents to place you in a private school are twice or three times that of a public school but private schools have newer more up to date facilities as private schools are more financially better then public school as they are not waiting for hand out from the governments. Most parents of kids in private schools tend to be high up or prestige in the business world, so it is always good to network with their kids and later on, you may end up going places with their

Answer #3

public, cause it gives you a taste pof the real world, real experiences, and to see how people act. you get to see a variety of different people.

Answer #4

One of my friends went to high school, the other to public school. My friend from the public school ended up with the same education, more money in her pocket and at the better university. I don’t think you can say one is better than the other; colleges care about your GPA first and foremost.

Answer #5

I have to disagree - no school gives you a taste of the real world, and you meet a variety of people at Catholic schools too.

Answer #6

I went to a Catholic school and I loved it. It wasnt that different from a public school - almost all high schools in New Zealand wear uniforms anyway. The only difference I can see between my school and the pblic schools my friends went to is that we had compulsary religious educations classes and school mass. I loved religious education class, it was really interesting. It wasnt just teaching us to be good Catholics, it taught us to understand and respect all beliefs. It also got us to think about moral and ethical issues from a variety of different viewpoints which I really enjoyed. I think what really determines which school is best though is the people. What made me love my school wasnt the fact it was Catholic, but because I got on really well with all the students in my class. We also had really small classes which is very helpful.

Answer #7

And you have the right to disagree, that was just my opinion. And your allowed your own opinion as well…

Answer #8

public..

Answer #9

I think public because, I grew up in a public school and I never got into any illegal stuff and I herd about it and knew about it but never got to bad in a public school and my fiancee when he was younger he went to a public school and then he started acting up like fighting so his mom sent him to a catholic school thinking it would be better for him and he said he was worse there and got really heavy into illegal substances n stuff because most the kids he had classes with were like that because there parents were pushing them to be better person and be good so they just rebelled ten times more, but I dont know just my opinion

Answer #10

i feel public school is. because its a much more wide variety of people which is good to be exposed to because thats the real world. in private or catholic i feel like kids are sheltered. while in public you see alot more. granted some more bad things may happen in public school but its less strict somewhat, and i feel people have more fun in high school that is public. also better sports teams in public

Answer #11

I don’t find a difference, the only thing that I find different is the religion part and the uniforms and all that. You get the same education, I know this because I had a cousin that went to a catholic school and whe are in the same grade, we learned the same things during the year. So education wise I think that any of those would be good for me, but other things, I would prefer a publec school.

I work with The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS for short), a non-profit with more than 300 member schools in both North America and abroad. I read your post and thought you might be interested in checking out TABS at [link removed]. It has information that will let you make your own decision on what is better–a Catholic boarding school or public school. It includes: • Lots of useful features and videos about the boarding school experience. (http://funadvice.com/r/3kr3skg7rj removed]/home.aspx)

• A School Browser that lets you search nearly 300 schools across North America. (http://funadvice.com/r/3kr3skg7rj removed]/find-a-school.aspx)
