Can I sue my workplace?

I have a summer job, one day as I was finishing up for the day, I was called up to the practice manager’s office. She told me this would be my last day from this day forth as the doctors do not need my help anymore. She didnt actually hire me for the job but the doctor. But they never told me earlier during the week or that day, and the doctors themselves never asked me to leave or said goodbye. Also another student was working there but he continued to work there I worked more than he did and I was well mannered had good puntuality also another black girl was asked to leave so this may have been a racially discriminating decision can I sue them for this?

Of course, you can sue them for whatever you wish. The question you have is will you *win,” and the burden of proof lies with you. From what you’ve said, it doesn’t sound like you have much of a case. It was a summer position, and the summer is coming to a close, so they were reducing staff.

No, you have nothing to sue over my dear. This happens all the time. If you don’t have a degree or you’re not union you got to learn to deal with it!

Go to a Employment Law agency and as their advice, if it was a doctors then it should have been a professionally ran environment and race would be unlikely to come into it, although ask their advice anyway, and state your claim, if it is strong enough they are likely to take the case.
