From a quick search, it appears that the seaweed most commonly used for this purpose is dulse, which is edible and widely available. For better quality control (the concern is that seaweed can absorb a lot of heavy metal pollutants), choose an American or Japanese source, rather than Chinese.
There are many different kinds of seaweed. Do you know which kind you want? If it's one of the kinds that some people eat, you can find it find it in a Japanese grocery store, or possibly in the Japanese-foods section of a supermarket with an "ethnic" aisle.
I would try a fish market (Japanese) I always find a lot of packs of seaweed.
