How can I make sure my family doesn't scare every boy off?

Ok so I’m almost 14 and I have an older brother who is 18. We are very close(when he isn’t with his girlfriend…lol) Anyway lol…He always jokes about how when I go on my first date that he’s gonna drive us, go to the movie with us, sit in between us… Now I love my brother very much. We always watch movies together and play X-box. He was actually the one who got me into History. Also…I’m a daddy’s girl…lol and my dad always joke and say that when a boy comes to see me, he will be loading his shotgun… lol I know they mean well…but how can I make sure it doesn’t scare every boy off???!? Dear Danigirl, Be oh so grateful you have a great, loving family! LIke it or not, they are there to help make sure you don’t date some knothead who is not worthy of your time. They are VERY smart, your family, and they know the awful possibilities of things to happen to you with the wrong guy. The vast majority of guys are dogs or snakes. They are selfish, don’t give a thought (or care to) to the value and specialness of your mind and heart. They want to get into your pants, so they will say or do anything to get there. Remember, you deserve special, not just cute, hunky, and a babe! Your family will not be scaring off any guy they can tell is actually a quality person. They are there to scare off those knotheads. Let them, they know what they are doing! And finally, be grateful you have such a great and loving family! That brother of yours is a real keeper! Take Care! Don

LOL THEY AER JUST MESSIN because THATS WHAT parents do..lol..its a good thing because at least you know they actually care about you and dont want you to get hurt…I went thru the same thing..

Don’t bring home a douche bag you know they will hate. Sorry but that is the only helpful advice anybody can give you. If your family doesn’t approve, then there is nothing you can do. They have your best interest in mind.

get to know them at school, go on group dates at the movies and tell your parents your meeting a few friends. only when he knows you and you know you like him can you let him meet your fam. trust me

haha trust me they wont do it. this is something I’ve told my sister I’d do. probably tell my daughter someday if I have one the same thing haha
