Breeding netherlands dwarfs

I have a netherland dwarf buck that would have been a strong competetor in nationals except he hurt his nose and it scarred which made his fur come back white in that spot. I want to breed him to get national level quality offspring but I haven’t bred rabbits before. I know a place that they will get sold so finding homes for the ones I don’t want to keep isn’t a problem. However, I need to know how to breed, like how to introduce the buck and when to let them breed and when to take the buck back out. Also I need to know if I should seperate the bunnies at some point and when. Another thing I need to know is what I should look for in a doe for my buck. My buck is self blue so I need to know the best choice for a doe.

Answer #1

Put her in his cage. Wait until the next day to take her out. And around 1 month after she was bred, she will give birth. Make sure he breeds her, stand by and watch for a few mintures just to make sure.

Answer #2

put them in side by side cages and watch for the female to hover close to him, put them in the same cage, remove the buck at first sign of fighting or rejection. The bunnies should be removed when they quit nursing. Look for like qualities of the buck.
