I don’t know much about breeds but the ones I find the cutest are dashunds and terriers.
I had a boxer for 10 years which is actually a long life for boxers and they are so friendly and I also had two German Shepard /labs and they are great protective dogs and are friendly to people they know. Another good dog is a sharpaie they are wrinkley they have chow in them and they have purple tongues and are great around kids
