Okay... how to break up with your gf?

Okay, so I am in an online bisexual relationship, and things aren’t working out very well. But the girl I am with cuts when she gets upset, and I don’t want to be the cause of that. How do I break up without it being hurtful?

Answer #1

If she wants to cut herself to deal with her emotions then that’s her problem, not yours. Don’t stay with someone because they threaten to hurt themselves. That is not your fault.

Answer #2

Iffy is right - the cutting problem was around long before you. And when you break up, let her know that it is over and you will not be responding to any emails for a while. (You don’t want to drag out her hopes.) However, when you do breakup, don’t blame her, and strongly encourage her to seek professional help for her cutting because she is a wonderful girl and finding relief from cutting is going to make her life much better. (Help may be available thru her school or local clinic or any medical coverage she has.) (Cutting is a primitive way of handling negative feelings - the cutting causes the brain to release ‘feel-good’ chemicals.) Good Luck!! to you both.

Answer #3

What a twisted world of confusion you all live in,confused with the confusion that you have made…and as for “ the cutting causes the brain to release ‘feel-good’ chemicals”…yeah, if you are mental and sick.Get as far away from these people as you can as there attention seeking is unhealthy to you and them, god knows what other problems they have,or even if what they say is true. And as for online relationships lol you do realise a lot of weird people have a second on line name ,age, loads of pics,sex..and then a way to make you fear for there health which creates a safety net for there con.Pedos would defo have this and be precise with there con,you would never know.

Answer #4

By “feel good chemicals” he means dopamine. Dopamine is released in the brain.
