Have a blank journal and have NO idea what to do with it...

Glah! I have never been good at keeping a journal, and really want to this time… Any suggestions?

Answer #1

Well, to explain this in a step by step process, this would be the best article.

Answer #2

Set a timer everyday so you have a set time to write. Choose a place where you won’t have any distractions. Simply explain to the “reader” (could be imaginary, could be someone will read it later) why you want to write the journal and the basics about yourself. Then say “Well, I guess I’ll get started!” (Not the best hook, I know, but it’ll do if you can’t think of something better) and simply tell the “reader” about your day. Describe how you felt, what you wish might’ve happened, sensory details, descriptions. Sometimes I feel like writing it as a play or story. Sorry if I was a little scrambled in my talking! Good luck! tigerlover101
