When I meet one of my favorite bands I want to tell them that their lyrics are really meaningful and got me through a hard time/saved my life but how would i say that
depends on how popular the band is. Bands who post lyrics and send messages that are meaningful and really care tend to respond and have PO boxes to sent mail to. Botdf for example, is really strong in their beliefs and find their fans very valuable and important so if you want to tell them something they will get your message, and it will mean alot to them. if it's a bigger band you may be lucky if they find the time to read it.
just tell them what how they set an example for you that motivates you and helped you get through tough times, but be careful, alot of bands (even ones who really care) may not pay attention because alot of people tend to have similar stores they want to share with the band member(s)
Find a way to contact and express your gratitude.....
