Apple or Android phone?

At this point both Apple and Samsung (and lots of other companies) make great phones. I don’t think you will go wrong with either choice. Apple phones are simple, elegant, and almost everything just works. Samsung phones are a bit gimmicky but also have a lot of truly amazing features that Apple lacks. After 3 iPhones I’m the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. My wife stayed in the Apple fold and has a iPhone 5s. Since we do use each other’s phones we do see the differences. When I use my wife’s 5s I feel like I’m using a toy. The iPhone screen is tiny and dull compared to the Note 3’s huge, bright and vibrant display. Also, when I use my wife’s phone I keep asking myself how she types on the darn thing after being spoiled by Swiftkey and Fleksy keyboards on my Note 3 (You can install fleksy on iOS but you can’t make it work with your other apps since Apple doesn’t allow it). On the other hand, while my Note 3 has a good camera it is not as good as the camera on the 5s, especially in low light. When my wife uses my Note 3 she is frustrated by all the gratuitious things in touchwiz. Even though I’ve had the Note 3 for over a month I still don’t understand why it does some of the things it does. I may try a different launcher to get a different look and feel on my Note 3 (not possible on a iPhone unless you jailbreak). My main reason for getting a Samsung was that I was tired of waiting for Apple to release a phablet or at least a bigger phone. Rumors are that Samsung will release Android 4.4 KitKat bar for the Note 3 in January and this should bring improvements in performance and usability.

Huh? there are lots of free apps for iPhone. In all the years I owned an iPhone I only paid for a handful of apps because the rest were all free.

Yeah I had an iPhone and didn’t keep it long because of that issue. Maybe the updated versions don’t have that but I got one when they first came out and I didn’t keep it long

I have never paid for an app.

I’m gonna have to go with apple. Adroid phones gets outdated quickly while iphone’s they keep updating it.
