How do I get my girlfriend's parents to like me?

First off just curious…How old are you? Second off, you’ll learn when it comes to parents and their childern…ESPECIALLY the daughters they are EXTREMELY PROTECTIVE. If this is the first guy that she’s dated then this might be the reason you had such a hard time because they feel she shouldn’t be dating now. If not, then it could have something to do with the way that you carry yourself they don’t feel you are the right guy for her and as long as they can control this they will. Another possiblity that goes with the second on could be they think you are this other guy, if that’s the case and this guy is bad news you are screwed. Why did you break up in the first place?

The only thing I can tell you to do is try talking to her first and see where she stand with with you. If she is no longer into you then there is no need of even trying you are just wasting your time. If she does still like you and her parents are a major issue, try seeing if your parents can talk to them and make headway or you sit down and explain how you feel (No offense but I don’t know your age). FYI - If you do talk to her parents I wouldn’t mention the fact that you love her b/c they won’t take you serious. Good Luck.
