Is it possible that an adult can book a room for a teenager without the adult being there when the teenager checks in?

because i want to go to california this spring break and my sister was going to book me a room at a motel there but shes not sure if it will work. Also if that wont work is there any possible way i can withdrawl the amount of money needed for the room from my sisters account without letting my mom know? (my sister is in japan but she is letting me have the money i need). What can i do?

Why don’t you call the motel and ask them? That’s what I would do.

Answer #2

Answer #3

I have worked at a hotel here in Norway, and there they rented out rooms to teenagers without any adults at all. We just had a policy that if there was some kind of doubt, we demanded that they paid in advance, and in some cases, they had to leave their id, and we locked it into a safe. We also removed the alcohol from the minibar, and filled it up with other things. I don’t think they would give a 13 year old kid a room, but 17 would not be a problem where I worked. This could of course be very different in other countries, and even from hotel to hotel. It also depended a lot on the person who came and wanted a room.

Answer #4

i think they let you do that.
