How can I add to my hair to make it interesting and not boring?

You should totally get dreads, but first dye your hair a sandy brown or dirty blonde. Maybe make some of them short and some long? So that you can put it back. :]

I have a sidecut but it’s growing out some which looks way better IMO. You could consider getting your hair dip dyed or ombre. I’m doing mine in teal. If you don’t change it much, you could always crimp parts of your hair to give it texture or just explore different ways to style your hair.

You could change it up with a cut and color streak. Do the Avril Lavigne thing and add a streak of foamy green and pastel pink. Blonde streaks are always nice too!

I agree with the bob, thing. You should cut it all off, nice and short, make it longer toward the front.
