Raped/molested both your daughters/his younger sisters more than once, what would you do?
There are consequences for those actions. Not prosecuting this criminal, will actually inflict more damage to those who were abused by them seeing how those who were in charge of protecting them appear as if they are not caring about their feelings and about this criminal behaviour and will make them feel like it probably was ok or that it was their fault.
Furthermore, these people, can't help themselves and by not prosecuting, the adults are aiding and abiding a criminal and could become liable if more abuse is perpetrated on other victims and it's found out that they knew about it and didn't report it.
yes, do you want to have a son that is a rapist?? are you proud of him for what he has done?? sometimes being a parent means making a hard decision- do you want him to be punished for what he has done?? do you want him to possibly be helped?? if this country had more parents that would stop their children when they have committed a crime then maybe some of the recent tragedies could have been averted - YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS NOW- prison and punishment- and possible rehabilitation- or NURTURING AND ENABLING A CRIMINAL- ITS YOUR CHOICE.
Every single response here addresses only what to do about your son. Please give lots of patient, compassionate, empathic attention to your daughters, with plenty of "space" (permission, gentle encouragement) for them to process their experience in whatever way comes naturally to them in the presence of loving, adult support. That may not be the same way for both girls.
Oh my thats tuff just thinking about it makes me emotional. I have no children, but no child should have to every have this done to them. If it happen to mine honestly problem have the perv taken care of by people. Yet as thats not the right way call the cops and take action. Put them in jail and pray they get the sh*t beaten out of them every day in jail.
Yes you can't let this go. There is a good chance a judge could be lenient knowing what kind of guilt a mother can feel, and if he did this while he was under 18, then he'd likely be tried as a juvinile. There is couseling availiable for young sex offenders. Talk to a lawer that works these cases.
Honestly, I know, and dont tell me there's no way to be sure, I KNOW I wouldnt raise a son like that. I couldnt imagine that happening and I have no idea what I'd do. Probably kill him, but if that happened to someone's kids, they should call the police, nothing else they can do.
I would press charges, watch him be prosecuted and no longer call him my son. Any person whether they're family or a complete stranger who does that to a child has no simpathy from me and deserves to rot in prison. Just my opinion.
Even though he is your son, just starting his life at 20? If he had to go to jail for 7- 9 years minimum, would you want him to go, would you still prosecute?
Prosecute him. Not only for justice, but it's the only way for him to possibly get help. If he gets away with it, there's no chance of him ever changing.
I would beat that person black and blue. then press charges after that will make sure he suffers In prison for the rest of they're lives.
You need to call the police! If he is a free man, he can and he WILL continue to harm your daughters and most likely other children!
