Is 8th grade graduation a big deal?

It could be a big deal for certain people. Others, not so much. I personally never saw mine as a big deal at all haha. Did you tell your cousin or her mom that you would be going, and then cancelled last minute? If so, that would probably be why her mom is upset with you. Or, maybe there’s an underlying reason for why she’s giving you attitude. For example, if she feels like you never put in any effort in your relationship with them or something. Who knows. Maybe you could call her mom and explain your side of the story. Just be genuine, apologize, and this should pass over quickly.

Pfft I don’t think so. I’m graduating 8th grade next thursday and we don’t even have a cerimony.

No not really. For the most part the exciting thing is getting dressed up, since most kids around then haven’t really had the chance to.
