Why is it that sometimes you get 2 points and sometimes you get more?

Depends on how tough the question is that’s answered, some get 2 pts, some get 3 or 5 or 7, to get a more exact answer ask Colleen

It’s actually not so much how difficult the question is as opposed to what category it’s under. I believe (and I’m not too sure if I remember right) less popular categories have a higher point value as opposed to popular categories.

It depends on the category, or the questions diffuculty (like what the others have said before) On each question, right beside where you type your answer is a small grey box, and in red writting, it says how many points you will be receiving if someone likes your answer.

Yep - category … look next to the Answer box and it will tell you how many points the answer is worth if someone “Likes” it. There is, however, an error on the site. There are no points for answers in the mature contents section, despite the note stating that there is.
