University Herald: Celebrating Diversity and Leadership

Who we are

At University Herald, we believe in the power of diversity and leadership to drive social and economic progress. Our mission is to equip leaders from all sectors with the necessary tools and perspectives to leverage diversity effectively and improve organizational outcomes. We are committed to creating a vibrant and diverse economy in South Carolina by fostering inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.

What we Do

We offer the Diversity Leaders Initiative Class, a unique and highly-interactive program designed for established leaders looking to deepen their knowledge and skills in managing diverse teams, clients, and constituents. Through a rigorous application process, participants are selected based on their potential to create an impact within their organizations and communities. Our curriculum includes topics such as defining diversity, the complexity of diversity, diversity and the law, bias vs. discrimination, and more.

Throughout the program, participants collaborate with local non-profit organizations to address challenges and opportunities in their communities. Some of the projects our classes have spearheaded include Camp Hope, Friday Night Lights, and Dream Connectors - all aimed at empowering underserved children and connecting students with diverse career opportunities.

Why you should use us

Diversity in the workplace has never been more crucial. Studies have shown that companies with gender-diverse teams are more likely to see higher financial returns, while a diverse workforce can increase the GDP significantly. By prioritizing leadership diversity, organizations can enable representation, bring new perspectives, improve employee satisfaction, and connect better with customers. Our program is designed to help leaders cultivate inclusive environments that drive innovation, creativity, and success.
