The world is in a panic over Covid-19 (Novel Corona Virus). While it does make sense to be careful, it does not make sense to panic. So with that in mind here is our simple guide to minimizing the risk of getting the virus.

Here at Funadvice, we've developed routines to wash our hands every time we enter or leave an office or home. It's pretty simple. Before you leave home, wash your hands. Before you enter the office, wash your hands. As you leave the office wash your hands.
We think that this is going to be standard practice from now on. Don't you?
No, we don't mean bomb-spraying the whole place. Instead it's simple, every day or so, prepare a solution of alcohol or bleach and water and use a small hand spray bottle, use a fresh rag to wipe down:
That will cover most issues. Use the hand spray to spray down your shoes as well.
Study after study shows that masks offer very little protection for the normal person from getting the virus. It helps your infection from getting out of your mouth and noses to healthy people.
So spend more time on hand washing and trying not to touch your face.
No cough is an innocent in the age of Covid19! Haha, we joke. Of course people are going to sneeze because of allergies, dust or the 1000 other reasons that people generally sneezed before the virus.
But, just as it was before the virus, cover your cough with your hands to keep it from spreading and with an abundance of caution, please wash your hands or use sanitizer after you sneeze.
Yes, sometimes this cannot be avoided. But at this time you probably should. With the hundreds of cases in New York City alone (no doubt in the subway and buses) and abundance of caution probably makes sense.
Take a walk or bike! Walking will help your cardio and your lungs if its not too far to work.
Change your work time to when its not so crowded.
Save some money, no need to go shopping for anything but essentials now.
Maybe we did not really need to say this -- but if you're not feeling even a tiny little bit well, then it makes sense to take a sick day if you can.
Because of the way how the virus spreads, if you caught it you would not even know for a few days and it would have probably already spread to unsuspecting people. So stay home.
Oh, and stay away from grandma (or any old people) too.
Handrails, Tables, Chairs, Door Handles, Elevator Buttons, Other people, puppies, kittens, birds...
We are joking, you can still stroke you cat, but stay away from other people.
