Well I will be driving soon & I want to have a good working car that is good for muddin and all that.One that I can depend on but I dont know which type of car I should get.
I would actually get a used car for your first car rather than something new and really nice. Trust me I begged my parents for a new car as my first car and I'm glad they didnt listen. You may think your not going to hit anybody or anything for that matter, but trust me you will. I've hit a pole and another car while straight parking. I laugh about it now though.
Something small, with a small engine, this will allow the car to be 'nippy' quick off the mark, with only a small engine, plus its so much cheaper on the insurance. The car being small will also make it easy to park manoeuvre etc. no point getting a jeep, or family sallon or anything equally as wasteful
Subarus are nice cars for dirt roads but not a lot of ground clearnace. Check out a jeep wrangler. There cheap. Easy to ensure. Damn near indistructible. Easy to fix. Fun to drive. Hope you drive a stick shift tho. Most are.
I'd go with a Jeep Wrangler. They are very good for off-road "muddin" you can take the top roof and the doors off and it's a very durable vehicle. Not to mention they look good.

It is your first car and you have to get what you want. What is contorble for you. the likes that you like in them and all.
summet with a small engine cus if its anything like over here in the uk an insurance company wont touch you with anything over a 1.1
If you're muddin and/or live in an area of harsh winters, you might want to consider a small truck or jeep as mentioned above.
A car that is safe, 4 doors with airbags. That would make the insurance cheaper, especially if it's a somewhat older model.
