Peeing on his pillow

Why is my male pit bull puppy peeing on all the stuff he lays on? (blankets, pillows)

Answer #1

You didn’t say how old he is, but this sounds like he’s marking territory (a tiny pup doens’t mark, however)…so is this dog over 6 months old?? Why he does it, I don’t know. Instinct tells dogs to never go in the nest…so he is doint precisely what mother nature tells him not to do. Are there other dogs in the house to make him want to protect his spot??

Getting him neutered might put an end to this…before he starts marking everything in the house.

Puppy dogs pee everywhere, it’s normal.

You gotta teach him where’s his place to sleep, and hit him with a paper (so he’ll just get scared, not hurt) with a paper jornal when he pee in the wrong place. It helps.

Also, you can buy something in pet shops that’s like… the smell of other dogs piss (?). I don’t recall the name now, but if you place it where you want him to piss, he’ll always smell it and “mark his spot” there. Faster way to train him

I think hes just scent marking it, so everyone knows its his, and as hibye says, train him not 2, personally I nwoudlnt hit him… but just yell at him or summin
