I have a recipe if you want to use turmeric: Mix a little turmeric and a little butter over heat. Add milk, and put in ground/crushed fennel seeds, cardamom, etc... whatever you want to add for flavor. Add something to sweeten it, brown sugar is best, but it's your choice. You can use normal sugar, honey, or an artificial sweetener, etc. This all goes on while it is over heat. Pour into a cup/mug through a fine strain.
Use Milk. Pour the milk into a liquid measuring cup. Add an Acid. For every 1 cup of milk, stir in 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar. ... Ready to Use! The acid will curdle the milk slightly. ... Buttermilk On Demand. Use the thickened milk — curds and all — just as you would buttermilk in your recipe.
To do that, you will need butter and milk.
