Iphone 4S: What is new and what the competitors are doing?

The new iPhone 4S has been launched on 14th October 2011. It is again another amazing mobile phone!!! It is faster comparing with the previous iPhone, with the dual core A5 processor (the same as in iPad). It has a new 8 megapixel camera, to give you a better photo quality and you will have a HD recorder as well. But the greatest thing in this new phone is the following: it is more intelligent!!!! Yes, the new intelligent voice-controlled assistant “Siri” that helps you when you ask, literally!!! You talk to your phone assistant Siri and it will help you to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, search the web, and much more.

But, iPhone 4S has not changed from outside. It is the same as the previous iPhone 4, and many people were “a little bit” unhappy about it. This is a minor issue, as we can see clear another evolution from Apple when it comes to new products to its consumers. Steve Jobs and his team again have shown why Apple is one of the most important technology companies out there!

But, how about it’s competitors? Can they compete with iPhone 4S?

iPhone 4S is the thinnest smartphone in the world, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S II (see in the left).
The Samsung Galaxy S II has the Android Operational 2.3 System, a Dual Core Application Processor, a 8 megapixel camera and connectivity with Wi-Fi.

The Motorola DROID BIONIC (see in the left) is another strong competitor, with also great processor, good quality of the screen, and the same Android Operational system as the Samsung Galaxy S II.

The Android Operating System has been available since 2008 and it’s been developed by Google, and many mobile phone manufacturers has adopted it. In terms of apps, Android is already in a level to compete with Apple Store.

Apple is well known with its Apple Store, with thousands of apps for free or available to buy.

The operating system Android also has a store with thousands of apps available. Both Motorola DROID BIONIC and Samsung Galaxy S II are running under Android operating system.

Another player is also coming back to the picture. In February 2011 Nokia and Microsoft has announced a deal where Windows Phone 7 will become Nokia’s primary smartphone operating system. Nokia has just launched the new smartphone Lumia 800 (October 2011), another strong player in the top range of smartphones (see in the left).

Competition is great for the consumers, and with these strong players out there we know for sure that the consumer will always win with all the options that are to come to the mobile phone market.
