One of my partners (Brandon) wanted to send you a healthy message today. He’s really into health and fitness.
Here’s what he has to say…
I’m not going to lie to you all. I’m in pretty bad shape these days. Well, in comparison to once being stage ready for bodybuilding competitions.
My wife turns 30 this week (she thinks she’s getting old…pfft) and yesterday, after crushing ½ a pizza and fries, I decided it was time to kick myself and get back into shape.
I’m going on a 6-week strict diet and fitness routine which I’ve started this morning. I’ll share the entire plan with you in my email tomorrow but before I do that, I want to give you some bad advice, so you can know what to completely ignore when people tell you to do it.
Cut out all fats
People that tell you to eliminate all fats from your diet don’t know what they are talking about. You need a certain amount of good fats in your diet. They fuel your body and good fats help you burn fat. Think about incorporating flax seed oil into your routine.
Eliminate carbs completely
Those that cut carbs out 100% aren’t doing their body any favors. Reduce your carbohydrate intake but do not eliminate them completely.
Just take pills
Fat burners are complimentary (at best) and what most people forget is what you put into your body, you need to metabolize. Many of the fat burners are filled with garbage. Don’t just buy into great marketing. Know what you’re putting into your body before you begin to use them.
It’s all diet
Yes, diet is at least 80% of it but there’s more to it than that. I hate hearing folks say it’s all diet because it’s not. You must exercise and burn more calories than you consume if you want to get lean.
You must shock your body
This is false. You don’t need to shock your body. You need to transform your body into accepting a healthier routine.
I’ll share my exact meal plan for the next 6-weeks with you all tomorrow. Until then, hang tight and take an inventory of everything you eat today. Even if it’s processed crap.
Lastly, try and do something physical today. I don’t care if it’s ten push-ups or running 5 miles. Just move your body.
Progression not perfection with small wins being your goal.
