Oh no! You should try to find a vet that you trust and won’t rip you off! They should have given you alternate ideas to get some calcium in your dog. My Dog is weaning right now, and she usually eats a raw diet. We find that the best way of getting more calcium in her diet is plain, preferably organic, cottage cheese. There is also doggie formula powder that you can purchase at your local pet supply store. Plain organic yogurt will do as well, however, my dogs prefer the taste of cottage cheese. I also add a little fish oil to it! Good luck!

You don’t have to rely on MILK for calcuim. Its found in various fruits and vegetables too:

FRUITS: blackberries, dates, grapefruit, oranges, pomegranate, prickly pears

VEG: brussels sprouts, butternut squash, celery, chinese broccoli, kale, okra, parsnips, turnips

Answer #6

Most dog foods have vegetables and grains mixed in… raw fruits and vegetables should be fine in moderation, but you should still ask your vet about the ones listed, to be certain.
